Fallece Barry Clayton, la voz de introducción de la canción "The Number Of The Beast"
Durante las sesiones de grabación de "The Number Of The Beast", la banda le habría pedido al famoso actor de peliculas de terror Vincent Price para que el lea el texto original. Sin embargo, de acuerdo con el cantante Bruce Dickinson, Price se negó a hacer cualquier cosa por menos de £ 25.000. Los miembros de la banda luego de escuchar a alguien que lea las historias de fantasmas en Radio Capital se encontraron con Clayton.
Lamentamos profundamente el fallecimiento de Clayton, la voz resonante que quedará para siempre grabada en la mente de todos los fans de IRON MAIDEN gracias a la forma en que pronunció esas palabras famosas que empiezan en "The Number Of The Beast":
